Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
At Sheen, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our platform.
We collect information you provide directly, including:
What we never hold
We never see or store your card number. When you pay for Sheen Growth, you pay in Stripe’s own secure payment form.
Automatically Collected Information
We use your information to:
We never sell your information. We share it only:
The companies that help us run Sheen
Each of these acts as our processor: they may use your information only to do the job we ask of them, and not for their own purposes.
Sheen does not send your information, photos or clips to any AI provider. Polish and every template work on your own device.
Captions from your clip are made on your device. When you add a clip to a caption template, your phone or computer itself works out the words spoken and when each was said, using a speech model it downloads once from Sheen. Nothing from your clip is sent to anyone, including us, and nothing is stored.
Sheen does not collect face data or any other biometric information. We do not create a face template, a faceprint or facial measurements. We do not use any photograph to recognise you.
Face ID, a fingerprint or your screen lock may be used to unlock a passkey. That check happens on your own device, by your device. Your face and your fingerprint never leave it and never reach us: what we keep is the public half of a key, which can check a signature and can never be used to sign in as you. You can remove your passkeys at any time in Settings.
The photos you do give us
Only your profile picture, which we store until you delete it or close your account. Photos and videos you put into a template or the editor are made into your design on your own phone and do not leave it. The finished file is saved to your device, and where you post it is up to you.
Sheen asks for three permissions. Each is optional, and the app works without any of them.
We will ask your permission before sending you marketing messages, and every message will tell you how to stop them.
Your information is encrypted, and access to it is restricted to the people and systems that need it. We should be honest, though: no system connected to the internet is ever completely secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling.
You can ask us at any time to:
To exercise your rights, contact us at support@sheenlabs.com.
Sheen is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and if we find that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will remove it.
Some of the companies that help us run Sheen are based outside the UK, so your information may be stored or handled abroad. When that happens we only use providers in countries the UK recognises as having equivalent protection, or we put an approved data protection contract in place with them. Your rights over your information stay the same wherever it is held.
We keep your information for as long as you have an account with us. If you close your account we delete your personal information, apart from anything we are legally required to keep, payment records, for example, which tax law requires us to hold for six years.
Some things never reach us at all. A photo or video you put into a template stays on your device (section 5). We hold no face or biometric data of any kind (section 5). And we never hold your card number at any point.
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify users of major changes and post the updated policy on the platform.
